Technology Coach — Shelby County

Technology Coach in Shelby County, Tennessee—Tech Goes Home TN Early Childhood Educators

The Enterprise Center seeks a Technology Coach in the Shelby County Tennessee region for a statewide program that offers digital skills training for early childhood educators. The Shelby Tennessee region includes only Shelby County.

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about providing professional development for early childhood educators.

Duties will include:

• Teaching educators and agency owners how to effectively use a computer to perform work-related tasks within the Google Workspace
 Providing ongoing 1-to-1 tech coaching to agencies and educators
 Conducting outreach in the area to market the program and build partner relationships
 Travel within the region to teach, schedule classes, meet agencies, and deliver devices
 Maintaining training records and survey data for each participant
 Working with CCR&R staff in the region and attending required trainings, meetings, and events

The ideal candidate should possess the following experience:

 Proficiency in basic computer functions and the chromebook operating system
 Experience using and integrating the Google Workspace into daily tasks
 Experience with teaching adult learners
 Strong written and verbal communication skills
 Self directed, organized, and proficient at time management
 BA/BS Degree or relevant equivalent experience
 Bilingual (Spanish—written and spoken) a plus

Additional Requirements

 Willingness to work 2 or 3 evenings per week in the field; our goal to accommodate educators requires
us to acknowledge and schedule around their working hours.
 This position is split between remote work and hands-on work with participants in your region. As such, residence in the Shelby region is required.
 Regular use of a personal vehicle and maintenance of personal auto insurance in accordance with TN state law is required.
 Criminal background screening

Compensation

 This is a full-time position with benefits, including medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) contributions.

 You will also receive mileage reimbursement for any work-related travel.

 The salary is $52,000–$55,000.

 This position is funded through a contract with the Tennessee Department of Human Services and Signal Centers, Inc.
