Networking & Neurodiversity Happy Hour connects neurodiverse job seekers and regional employers to foster a competitive, inclusive workforce ecosystem.
The Enterprise Center invites the public to the upcoming Networking & Neurodiversity Happy Hour on Wednesday, September 25, 2024. This unique event is designed to bring together employers, professionals, and community members to discuss, support, and promote neurodiversity in the workplace.
This event will take place from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Floor Five @ The Edney, 1100 Market St. in Chattanooga and will feature interactive stations, insightful discussions, and opportunities to connect with inclusive employers.
Presentations will include a welcome address from Monique Quarterman, President & CEO of The Enterprise Center, program development insight from Zac Beker, Program Support Specialist at Tech Goes Home, and a keynote presentation from Kevin Love, Director of Innovative Workforce & Economy, on the future of the initiative. The Enterprise Center leaders will share their insights on the importance of fostering neurodiverse talent and creating inclusive work environments as Chattanooga’s economy continues to grow.
“This is a vital component of The Enterprise Center’s commitment to supporting our region’s innovative workforce and economy,” said Monique Quarterman. “We’re excited to welcome the neurodiverse community, allies, and the public, and we look forward to sharing updates to this growing program and what’s to come for 2025.”
Networking & Neurodiversity Event Highlights:
- Interactive Idea Stations: Participants can engage in collaborative idea-sharing sessions on how to improve support for neurodivergent individuals in the workforce.
- Breakaway Spaces: Multiple spaces will be available for calm or intentional conversations, ensuring a comfortable atmosphere for all attendees.
- Networking Opportunities: Attendees can connect with inclusive employers and engage with peers through group discussions on career exploration and employment.
- Game Areas: The event will also feature a fun and relaxed game area, designed to encourage networking in a casual setting.
“This happy hour aims to break down barriers and foster a supportive environment for neurodiverse professionals and employers,” said Kevin Love. “We hope to create meaningful connections and provide valuable resources for both individuals and businesses looking to embrace neurodiversity for the ideal performance of our business community.”
Networking & Neurodiversity Happy Hour and events are made possible through support and engagement from Game On Chattanooga, Unum, BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, Chattanooga State Community College, and University of Tennessee, Chattanooga.
